Titans Cross Country Start Season at the Linfield Harrier Classic

The Lane Men's and Women's Cross Country teams recently completed their first race of the fall season at the Linfield Harrier Classic in McMinnville, Oregon.

 
The women competed over the 4000 meter distance and had a solid opening race competing with teams from all over the State of Oregon and across many different classifications. Saundra Parsons led the way, placing 44th with a time of 15:59, followed closely by Hannah Macduffee in 58th in 16:23. Juliana Scull placed 82nd in her first time competing as a Titan in 17:38 and Harmony Goodman competed unattached and finished in 86th with a time of 17:58.
 
The men placed eighth in a very competitive field for the 6k distance. In their inaugural competition as Titans, Conner Lamb and Nate Glazier led the team finishing 55th in 20:11 and 57nd in 20:15, respectively. Bryce Lehman and Owen Fuller were the next duo in 72nd (20:42) and 78th (20:52). The rest of the Titans finished in the following order, Aonghas Houston 92nd (21:14), Robbie Johnston 93rd (21:15, Derrick Vanduch 102nd (21:34, Charlie Page 116th (116th, Hestin Duff-Estrada 120th (22:24 and Finn Gordon 122nd (22:38).
 
Coach Yorges shared his thoughts, "We are really pleased with our team's first race of the season. Many of our athletes were able to group closely with teammates and everyone competed well in hot conditions."
 
The Titans next stop is at the Rose City Golf Course in Portland for the CCC Preview Meet on September 20th.
