Lane Community College Athletic Director, Greg Sheley, has announced the hiring of Joshwa Martin as their new Head Women's Soccer coach. Martin takes over for Bryn Dennehy who recently resigned to pursue a full time position outside of coaching. "We are excited to have Joshwa joining the Lane Athletics family," said Sheley. "He brings experience at a variety of levels and an understanding of the community. We are confident Joshwa will build a program and do an outstanding job for us." "I want to thank Athletic Director Greg Sheley and the search committee for this opportunity. It is an honor, a pleasure and a privilege to serve as Head Coach of the Lane Community College Women's Soccer program. I believe it is my duty to act as a servant leader that works fervently to ensure the success of the team in the classroom and on the field of play," said Martin. Most recently, Joshwa was the Head Boys Soccer coach at Thurston High School in Springfield Oregon. He is also active in the Eugene Timbers Soccer Club coaching a U-14 team and assisting Taylor Boyer with the U-15 team, both members of the Girls Academy League. Joshwa graduated with honors and a degree in Planning, Public Policy and Management from the University of Oregon. He currently resides in Eugene with his wife, Christine and their son Ezra.
