
The Lane Titans Women's Soccer team defeated the Umpqua Riverhawks in their 2025 home opener.
The Titans are coming off of a 3-0 victory at Southwestern Oregon Wednesday afternoon, and looked to carry that momentum into another Southern Region match.
The Riverhawks came in to today's match with a record of 3-1.
Freshman Alexa Kovatch got the scoring going early, notching her first goal of the match in the 15th minute to take a 1-0 lead.
Both teams would go scoreless for the rest of the half, with Lane holding on to their 1-0 lead.
Lane once again seized the momentum of the game with a quick goal by Camryn Johansen in the 52nd minute, as Lane takes a firm 2-0 lead.
With the Titan defense holding, Kovatch put her stamp on the game and scored her second goal in the 74th minute, ending any hope of a Riverhawk comeback.
The Titans took the match 3-0 and now sit at 2-0 in Southern Region play.
The Titans will host the Rogue Ospreys next Saturday.
