
The Lane Women's Soccer team fell 0-2 in the first round of the NWAC Playoffs against the Clark Penguins.
The Titans, who finished 3rd in the Southern Region, had to travel to Vancouver to take on the Penguins, who have only lost one match this year.
Both teams struggled to score in the early going, as both defenses stood strong.
Clark struck first in the 24th minute with a goal by Ella Krause.
Going into halftime down 0-1, the Titans still had time to find the equalizer.
Goalie Azjah Tocher finished the match with 9 saves and kept the Titans within striking distance.
Unfortunately Lane could not get the offense going, and eventually gave up a 2nd goal in the in the 59th minute by Abbie Nelson.
The two goal deficit was too much to overcome and the Titans dropped the match 2-0.
The Clark Penguins move on to the second round of the NWAC Playoffs, while the Titans season is over.
Lane finishes the season with a record of 7-6-2 and a 3rd place finish in the Southern Region.
