The Lane Titans Women's Soccer team won their final match of the regular season last week against Umpqua which earned them a spot in the NWAC Playoffs.
They finished third in the NWAC Southern Region which means they will travel just over the state border into Vancouver, Washington to take on the Clark Penguins this Wednesday.
The Titans have only lost one match in the last 45 days and founf their groove offensively in the second half of Southern Region play.
The Penguins have not lost since their first match of the year, winning eight and drawing three.
A formidable opponent and a road environment will make this a tough matchup for the Titans, but toughness has been their identity all season.
External circumstances, whether it be injuries, rain, or other obstacles, have never bothered Coach Joshwa Martin and his team before.
The Titans simply take every match one play at a time.
Sophomores Sarah Money and Mary Frances Sluga have both been major impact players in the Titans balanced attack.
Money, with 4 goals on the season, has led the way offensively while Sluga, with 3 assists, has been their primary distributor.
Goalie Azjah Tocher has also held things down defensively with 28 saves this season.
The winner of Wednesdays match will take on the second ranked team in the NWAC, Columbia Basin.
The match will start at noon at Clark College.
