Titans Handle Storm

The Lane Titans Women's Basketball team continue to dominate with a 92-65 win over the Chemeketa Storm.

The Storm came into today's game alone in fourth place in the Southern Region and looking to secure a spot in the NWAC Playoffs.

The Titans remain in first place in the South.

The Titans controlled the game from the start, jumping out to a 15-4 lead midway through the first quarter.

The Storm trimmed the lead to 7 near the end of the quarter before a layup by Brittea Byrge pushed the lead to 9 to end the quarter.

Micah Wicks set the tone early, scoring 10 points and dishing out 4 assists in the first quarter.

The Titans continued to control the game and pushed the lead up to 20 points at half, leading 45-25.

Emma McDonald led the team in scoring midway through with 14.

The Titans came out firing in the third quarter, scoring 35 of their 92 points.

It was one of the highest scoring quarters of the season for the Titans.

Emma McDonald scored 13 points in the quarter, and Micah Wicks dished out 6 assists.

The Titans ended up taking the game after an uneventful 4th quarter 92-65.

Emma McDonald finished with 27 points.

Micah Wicks ended the game with 21 points and 13 assists.

Maitlin Young also ended with 15 points, going a perfect 3-3 from three.

Brittea Byrge scored 9 points off the bench.

The Titans move to 25-0 on the season with four games remaining.
