
The Lane Titans Women's Basketball team beat the Portland Panthers 76-61 Saturday afternoon.
With the win the Titans move to 3-0 in conference play and 16-0 on the season.
The Titans, who have typically dominated first quarters this season, started slow this time around and found themselves in a 14-12 hole going into the second quarter.
The Panthers kept attacking, hitting back-to-back threes to take an 8 point lead early in the second quarter, their biggest deficit on the season.
The Titans responded with one of their most dominant runs of the season, outscoring Portland 31-4 the rest of the way to take a 43-24 lead into halftime.
To finish the game the Titans maintained their lead and never let the Panthers within 13 points, before eventually taking the game 76-61.
Maitlin Young led the way with 18 points and 7 rebounds.
Lillee Duffin also finished with another double-double, scoring 14 points and grabbing 17 rebounds.
The Titans next matchup will be next Saturday at home against Mt. Hood.
