
On a crisp fall evening in Eugene, the Lane Titans Men's Soccer team put together another complete performance in a 3-0 win over Sothwestern Oregon.
The Titans, coming into the match at 5-5-1 in conference play and 6 points down of 1st place, are getting closer to clinching a playoff spot, but still have their eyes on a Southern Region Championship.
SWOCC came in to town all but eliminated from the playoffs and looking to play spoiler.
The Titans got to work early with Jacobo Contreras scoring a goal in the 7th minute off of an assist from Jonathan Colunga.
In the 39th minute the 6'6" freshman Dia Cheikh Ibrahim socred a solo goal in his Lane debut.
Lane held a 2-0 lead going into halftime.
In the 60th minute Jonathan Colunga continued his excellent stretch of play and scored his 6th goal of the season, pushing the lead to 3-0.
The Titans held on to the lead for the rest of the match and picked up their 7th win of the season.
They currently sit behind Rogue by 6 points but have a chance to get some ground back against the Ospreys on the road Saturday.
