Titans Offense Explodes in Opening Match

The Lane Men's Soccer team (1-0, 0-0) defeated the Centralia Trailblazers (0-4-2, 0-0) in their season opener 9-3 Wednesday night. 

Centralia put the Titans in a hole early with a goal in the 10th minute by Tristin Evans. The Titans, however, responded quick with a goal of their own by Zac Walker in the 15th minute. The Titans never looked back.

Another goal by Jacobo Contreras in the 25th minute sparked an offensive explosion for Lane, who ended up with seven straight goals before Centralia found the net again. 

Jonathan Colunga got himself on the board with a goal in the 37th minute to go up 3-1, and another quick goal by Ethan Juarez in the 44th minute put the Titans in control at halftime with a 4-1 lead.

After halftime, the Titans blew the game open and squashed any hopes for a Centralia comeback. Zac Walker scored his second goal of the night 45 seconds into the 2nd half to go up 5-1. 

Within a minute, the Titans scored again, this time it was Adrian Nunez getting on the board. The score was now 6-1.

Zac Walker completed his hat trick in 54th minute, putting the Titans up 7-1.

Centralia stopped the bleeding with a Mario Silva Gutierre goal in the 59th minute after giving up seven straight goals.

Lane answered again in the 69th and 70th minute with goals by Jacobo Contreras and Jonathan Colunga, respectively. The Titans led 9-2 before a Centralia goal in the 77th minute by Brady Mitchell ended the scoring 9-3. 

This win puts the Titans at 1-0 to start the season with a tough test on Saturday aginst Tacoma Community College.
