MSOC | Titans have COTY and four All-Stars

Eugene, Ore. – Head coach Conner Cappelletti was named co-coach of the year in the Southern Region and freshman midfielder Jose Gonzales, freshman defender Matthew King, sophomore defender Matthew Peagram and sophomore goalkeeper Anthony Armenta were named all-stars.

Conner Cappelletti just completed his third year as head coach and has improved the Titans from a 5-9-0 record and fifth place finish in 2017 to a 6-6-3 and fourth place finish in 2018 to a 5-3-6 record and second place finish in 2019.

Jose Gonzales led the Titans with 13 points off five goals and three assists in 13 games and 11 starts. Gonzales' five goals are tied for third most in a single season; his three assists are tied for second most; his 13 points are tied for second most.

Matthew King had one goal and helped to only allow 1.11 goals per game 0.74 goals per game during conference play.

Matthew Peagram along with King was an important part of the Titans defense, but he was also the primary free kick taker and set up many goals even though he did not register any assists on his own.

Anthony Armenta played and started 12 games. He played 912 minutes, saved 75 percent of the shots taken against and had a 0.99 goal against average. Those three marks are second, first and first in program single-season history. He also went 5-2-5.
