Tarik Cool signed at Idaho State to continue his basketball career.

Eugene, Ore. - Tarik Cool, a 6-4 sophomore guard from Chandler, Ariz., has committed to play basketball at Idaho State University, an NCAA Division-1 basketball school.

During his lone season as a Titan, Cool averaged 22.7 PPG (3rd in the NWAC), 4.7 APG, 4.6 RPG and 1.6 SPG. Cool made 8.2 field goals/game (fourth most in the NWAC)…shot 38.6 percent from three (eighth best among players with 200 or more attempts)…tenth in the NWAC averaging 4.7 APG.

Cool set a career-high in points with 36 during a 101-92 win at Clackamas on March 2…a career-high in assists of 13 on Nov. 26 vs Willamette J.V…career-high in rebounds of 10 at SWOCC on Jan. 9…career-high in steals of five (three times), most recently vs Clackamas on Jan. 26.

Tarik Cool becomes the second men's basketball player to sign at an NCAA DI school in the last 12 months. The most recent player before Cool and Kylor Kelley (Oregon State) last year was in 2010 when Brandon Durham signed at Seattle University.
