Former Titan Drafted | Austin Crowson to the Philadelphia Phillies

Eugene, Ore. – Former Titan and current Western Oregon pitcher Austin Crowson was selected by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 39th round (1170th overall). He was previous out of Lane by the New York Yankees in 2017 in the 26th round.

As a Titan he went 12-3 with a 2.31 ERA, 122 strikeouts in 117 innings across 24 games and 21 starts in 2016 and 2017.

After transferring to Nevada for 2018, Crowson decided to leave at spent his junior season at Western Oregon. In 2019 Crowson went 4-1 with a 3.66 ERA, two shutouts, 46 strikeouts in 39.1 innings across nine games and eight starts. He also threw the fifth no-hitter in Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) history and third in school NCAA history. He was named all-GNAC first team for his performances.
