Titans play a complete game in 9-2 win at Mt. Hood

The Titans got the lead in the 1st inning and didn't relinquish it in a 9-2 win at Mt. Hood.

How it happened: Hayden Curtis and Nathan Sprenger walked to start the game and Takanori Shimizu singled to load the bases. Jaxon Woodhouse would drive in the Titans first run with a sacrifice fly to center that scored Hayden Curtis.

After a wild pitch advanced the runners to second and third, Logan Zozaya singled in Takanori Shimizu and Nathan Sprenger to make it 3-0.

The Saints would get a run back in the 2nd inning on a sacrifice fly after a leadoff double and sacrifice bunt.

The 4th inning saw the Saints get another run, this time an RBI-single to make it 3-2 Titans. Matt Dallas would relieve Donovan Baldocchi with two out and finished the inning with a groundout.

With two on and two out in the 5th, Skyler Vail hit a two-run single that scored Jaxon Woodhouse and Takanori Shimizu to make it 5-2 Titans.

Then in the 6th the Titans got started with a walk and groundout. Hayden Curtis would score Curran Mitzel on an RBI-single and Nathan Sprenger would drive in Curtis with an RBI-double to make it 7-2.

After a series of defensive changes, including a pitching change, Takanori Shimizu homered and drove in Nathan Sprenger to make it 9-2 Titans.

What/who stood out: nine runs scored is the most in conference play since an 11 and 12-run game against Clackamas…six walks ties a season-high with the 8-2 loss at Bellevue…four offensive strikeouts is the 26th time in 27 games in single digits…three sacrifice hits is a season-high…two extra-base hits is the 11th time in 12 games with an XBH…zero errors makes three of five games after nine straight multi-error games.
