Former Oregon Duck to play in Football National Championship Game
BOSTON, Mass. – Former Sheldon High School & University Of Oregon student athlete Kylee O'Connor-Harrel excels for the Boston Renegades women's professional tackle football team. The Boston Renegades play the St Louis Slam for the Women's Football Alliance (WFA) National Championship on July 27th at 2pm PST in Canton, Ohio on ESPN2.
O'Connor-Harrel leads the WFA in punt return yards, averaging 38-yards per return, and was recently selected as an All-American Punt Returner. Watch her 76-yard punt return for a touchdown in the Renegade's season opener against the Tampa Bay Inferno here.
O'Connor-Harrel (#2) also plays cornerback. She made a game-saving tackle-for-loss in the Renegades' round one playoff win against the DC Divas on June 29 (watch here).
Prior to her stint with the Renegades, O'Connor-Harrel was a two-time All-Pro for the Oregon Ravens in the Women's National Football Conference (WNFC) and was named the league-wide Special Teams Player of the Year in 2023.
O'Connor-Harrel was a 400-meter hurdler for the Oregon Ducks from 2016-2018, placing third in the 2018 Pac-12 Championships. She still holds the No. 4 all-time mark in the event for the Ducks. Hear former Oregon head coach Robert Johnson talk about O'Connor-Harrel here.
