Lane Community College Athletic Director, Greg Sheley, has announced the hiring of Chris Yorges as their head Men's and Women's Track and Field coach. Yorges, recently hired as the Titan head Cross County coach, will take over for Kelly Blair-LaBounty who recently resigned her interim position and will remain with the program as an assistant coach. Yorges will now lead both Cross Country and Track and Field programs as Head Coach.
"We are fortunate to have someone with the qualifications of Chris, step in and take over on such short notice," said Sheley.
Chris graduated from Churchill High School and went on to compete at Brigham Young University where he received a BA in American Studies in 1991. Chris later received his MBA from Northwest Christian University in 2013. Yorges and his wife Cheryl have been married for 30 years and have 3 daughters, Whitney, Ashley and Nicki.
