While not unusual for one of our Freshman to qualify to the national U20 championships, (these athletes have to remain under 20 years old for the entire calender year) we don't get our athletes into this meet every year, so it was a very positive note that Taylor qualified this year.  He came in as the last place entry ranked 16th.  Taylor had a great day and with his 5.00m (16' 4.75") first attempt clearance not only tied for 9^th place but moved himself into a tie for 7^th place on our Titan all-time list.  He also ends up with the 3^rd best jump in the nation by a Junior College pole vault Athlete.
