Ty Ohrtman Hired as Lane Community College’s Men’s Soccer Coach

Lane Community College Athletic Director, Greg Sheley, has announced the hiring of Ty Ohrtman as their new Head Men's Soccer coach. Ohrtman takes over for Max Sampson who recently resigned to take a full time position at South Puget Sound
Community College..
"We are excited to have Ty continue to be a part of Lane Athletics," said Sheley. "He was an integral part of the 2022 Southern Region Championship season in his role as an assistant coach. He brings knowledge and experience within our Men's Soccer program. We are confident Ty will do an outstanding job for us."
"I want to thank Athletic Director Greg Sheley and the search committee for the opportunity to lead the Lane Community College Men's Soccer program. My passion and desire to help young people improve on the pitch and in the classroom will be reflected in my work ethic," said Ohrtman.
Ty's coaching career included stops at Churchill High School, South Eugene High School, Lane Community College and the Eugene Metro Futbol Club.
Ty is a graduate of South Eugene High School.
