Walter Reustle's left footed free kick in the 55th minute provided a boost of confidence for the Lane Community College men's soccer team who would settle in and find their attacking rhythm. This score marked the 1 st goal of Reustle's Lane career.

After generating long sequences of passes from sideline to sideline the Titans depth and ability to play quickly would wear down the Southwest Oregon Community College defense and find openings to create chances. The few SWOCC chances, created through counter attacks, were easily handled by the Titans backline led by Nick Hentzel and Seita Taguchi.

Sophomore attacking midfielder Carson Pindell would rocket one past the SWOCC goalkeeper in the 77th minute from the beyond the box to break open the match and help the Lane Titans cruise in the final minutes of the game to a 2-0 victory. Goalkeeper Tristen McMahan, the NWAC's reigning Defensive Player of the week, earned his fifth shutout of the season with key saves in both halves.

Lane sits alone at the top of the south region table but the match at Portland Community College on Friday looms. However, Lane has an extra few days off to recover and prepare, something the team is looking forward to. The Titans remain the only undefeated team in NWAC.

"It was a hard-fought match today against a good opponent. It is very encouraging to see how we are coming together and playing possession-based football. We were able to play through the lines and find space to attack our opposition. We continue to be sound defensively and have not conceded any goals at home this season which is a stat we are pushing to maintain. This team is a joy to play for and I am very excited to see how far we can go together."-sophomore midfielder Walter Reustle
