Morgan Fossen came to Lane Community College in Fall of the 2016-2017 as a Walk-on and as a 10' high school  vaulter.
Morgan improved that first year all the way to a school record 12' 5 1/4" and was a NWAC Champion!  As a Sophomore, she improved her school record to 12'6" and placed second at the NWAC Championships earning her second All American recognition.  Morgan is still fourth on our all top 10 list, but she owns the most top vaults at eight (8) of any Lane CC vaulter.  Morgan has shown great determination weathering some tough seasons at Eastern Washington (EWU) where she did not improve to finally reaching her true potential this year.  As a senior, she has moved up to be the 2nd all time best vaulter at 13' 9 1/4" for EWU.  She just placed tenth at the NCAA Championships, earning second team All American honors while also graduating with a 3.85 cumulative GPA.  Morgan is a true inspiration for all of us at Lane. She has shown what hard work and determination can bring to our Lane  Student Athletes.
