Kennedy ran the fastest 8K time in the NWAC this year with a time of 24:54.2 at the Mike Johnson Classic. Facing runners from NCAA Division I, II & III, Kennedy finished third overall behind a pair of Western Oregon runners by less than 15 seconds. He led Lane to fifth place overall ahead of Portland State, Pacific and Walla Walla U.
