Eugene, Ore. – Outfielder Jack Swisher is the Titans Men’s Athlete of the Week for Feb. 19 through Reb. 25.

Swisher and the No. 8 Titans baseball team opened their 2020 season with two neutral site games versus No. 3 Everett on Saturday and another two neutral site games versus No. 7 Yakima Valley on Sunday.

In game one on Saturday versus Everett, Swisher led the Titans to a 5-0 win with a 2-3 performance at the plate. He added a walk, sacrifice bunt and scored a run.

In game two versus Everett, Swisher added two more hits and went 2-5 with his first RBI of the season and added a second sacrifice bunt in the Titans 2-2 tie that went 12 innings before the game was called due to darkness.

Then on Sunday in game one versus Yakima Valley, Swisher went 3-5 with his first double of the season, an RBI, his first stolen base of the season and two runs scored in the Titans 13-8 loss.

To finish the weekend, Swisher and the Titans bounced back with a 9-2 win versus Yakima Valley led by a 2-4 performance from Swisher. He added another double, stolen base, RBI and run scored.

On the weekend the Titans went 2-1-1. Swisher went 9-17 at the plate, with two doubles, two stolen bases, three RBI’s and four runs scored.
