ALBANY — The Lane volleyball team opened NWAC play with a 20-25, 25-19, 25-21, 21-25, 15-13 win over Linn-Benton on Wednesday.

The Titans overcame a pre-match injury to outside hitter Saige Brashears to win despite playing a new lineup.

Cassidy Herbert, a freshman from Cottage Grove, had 16 kills, Morgan Gray, a freshman from Thurton High School, had 13 kills and Sophie Johnson, a freshman from Willamette, had 12.

Taylor Russell handed out 41 assists for the Titans and Madison Marlatt had 30 digs.
