The Lane Titans came out firing from the very start and didn't let up in a 118-76 victory over Tacoma. Head coach Joe White was an assistant for three years at Tacoma prior to his move to Lane last season.

How it happened: Lane opened with three unanswered threes and scored 25 of the game's first 28 points in 5:37 seconds. The lead would never go under 20 points. Lane got a jump shot from Will Graves in the closing seconds and took a 60-27 lead into half.

Lane shot 61.8 percent from the floor, which would normally be crazy, but they shot 75 percent in the 2^nd half of their last game. They made 9-16 threes and 9-12 free throws. They continued their great passing, recording 13 assists on 21 made field goals.

Tacoma shot a reasonable 44 percent, but 12 turnovers, 1-4 from the stripe and 4-14 from three held down their scoring. They also attempted nine fewer shots.

Lane was led by Lezjon Bonds with 14 points and overall three players were in double-figures.

The 2^nd half was more of the same overall, but this time Tacoma started with a 5-1 run. In that run, Lane received a technical foul from Cody Mathis after things got a little chippy. Tacoma cut their deficit below 30 a few times in the half but never made a run that ever felt worrisome for Lane.

Weirdly enough, Tacoma shot worst in the 2^nd half, 42.1 percent, and had two more turnovers, but scored 22 more points. 38 field goal attempts, 7-19 from three and 10-14 from the line in an even faster paced 2^nd half.

Lane shot 57.6 percent, made 9-15 threes and 10-14 from the line. They continued what was a very clean offensive game, with only six turnovers.

Tarik Cool had 14 points and nine of 11 players scored in the half.

What/who stood out: Lane has scored in triple digits in all six games this season but have had zero players break the 30-point mark; that is thanks to all 11 players having at least one game with double figures. Lane has also made at least 10 three in every game and had 18 or more three times. Despite 67 shots and 24 assists, Lane only had 10 turnovers, helping them to maintain their crazy efficiency.

Tarik Cool, Lane's leading scorer, had 26 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals. Lezjon Bonds had a career high 23 points on 8-9 shooting off the bench in only 25 minutes. Jake Willemsen had nine points and was 3-3 from three in six minutes.

What it means: One interesting point when looking at these non-conference tournaments is that they don't matter. The only record that affects your seeding in the playoffs is your record at regional opponents. Lane is now 6-0 and have used depth and passing to score, whereas many opponents must rely on one or two players in isolation to keep up.

What's next: Because this is not technically a tournament the win does not change their opponent, as they will play Spokane at 6 p.m. at Titan Coliseum. Spokane made a double digit, 2^nd half comeback against Umpqua and are 6-1 this season. They are led by JR Delgado who averages a team high 18.8 ppg. He had 29 against Umpqua and is shooting 52.9 percent from three on the season.
