The Titans in the bottom half of the 8th had a chance to extend their 1-0 lead. Jack Swisher singled to lead off the inning and after a flyout by Curran Mitzel, Matthew Aguilar singled to put runners at first and third. Unfortunately, the next two batters were unable to come thru.

The top of the 9th was uneventful even though Matt Dallas was looking for the complete-game shutout. Dallas would sit down the 3-4-5 hitters in order for the 1-0 win.
