Takanori Shimizu hit what looked to be a game-winning two-run, two-out triple to give the Titans a 3-2 lead, but a pair of errors and a wild pitch in the bottom half-of-the 7th inning gifted LBCC two runs and a 4-3 win.

How it happened: The Roadrunners scored first in the bottom half-of-the 1st with an RBI-single off starter Mitchell Bell.

Matt Dallas scored the tying run in the top-of-the 4th on a wild pitch.

The Roadrunners would reclaim the lead in the bottom-of-the 5th with an RBI-single.

With two outs in the top-of-the 7th, Kyle Strange walked and was pinch ran for by Curran Mitzel; then pitch hitter Nathan Sprenger singled and became the lead run; Takanori Shimizu then hit a two-run triple to score Curran Mitzel and Nathan Sprenger to give the Titans a 3-2 lead.

In the bottom half-of-the 7th a single and a two base error put a Roadrunner at third base with no outs. Immediately afterwards the Roadrunners tied the game with a sacrifice fly. A double, strikeout and error put runners at first and second with two outs. A single by the following hitter loaded the bases and a wild pitch scored the winning run.

What it means: The Titans drop to 12-10 overall and 6-2 in conference. The Titans are now in 2nd place and one game back of LBCC.

What's next: The Titans host LBCC tomorrow at Titan Field with game one of the double-header starting at 9 a.m. to avoid inclement weather and the second game starting about 30 minutes after the first's conclusion.
