LACEY, Wash. — The Lane women placed five scoring runners among the top seven and dominated the Northwest Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships on Monday at St. Martin's University.

The Titan men, meanwhile, finished with five runners in the top 12 to take second in their championship race.

Jazmin Chavez, Alexis Crowl and Maddy Woodward took second, third and fourth places, respectively, as the Lane women scored 22 points. Chavez covered the 5,000-meter course in 19 minutes, 8 seconds, Crowl in 19:19 and Woodward in 19:20. Other Titans included Piper Crook in sixth (19:33), McKenzie Hoyt in seventh (19:40), Daelyn Wilde in eighth (19:40) and Claire Ebert in 12th (20:02).

Spokane, led by individual winner Jolene Whiteley (18:25), took second in the team standings (96 points) and Treasure Valley (103) was third in the 10-school event.

In the men's 8,000-meter race, Anthony Stone grabbed seventh (26:17) and was followed by a parade of four Titan runners in ninth through 12th place as Lane scored 49 points. Tanner Sayers placed ninth (26:40), Jesse Todd 10th (26:40), Daniel Beckstead 11th (26:44) and Tristan Robinson 12th (26:48). Other Titan runners included Carter Kunert in 14th (27:05) and Ryle Hollick in 16th (27:29).

Spokane, paced by individual winner Johan Correa (25:37), won the team crown with 19 points. Clackamas was third in the nine-team competition with 120 points.
