XC | Lane women’s cross country finishes second in Washington

OLYMPIA, Wash. — Bolstered by three top-10 finishers, the Lane women's cross country team finished in second place out of 13 teams Saturday at the Ken Garland Classic at Saint Martin's University.

Jazmin Chavez ran the 5,000-meter course in 18 minutes, 43.84 seconds to lead the Titans with her seventh-place individual finish.

Teammates Isabella Kansala (18:47.39) and McKenzi Hoyt (18:51.86) finished in eighth and ninth place, respectively.

Tanner Sayers finished ninth in the men's 8,000-meter race (26:16.47) and the men's team finished fourth overall.
