Titans in 2nd place after 5 set thrilling victory over Storm

The Lane volleyball team outlasted Chemeketa in five sets Friday to take sole possession of second place in the NWAC South Region standings. The Titans (15-14, 5-3 NWAC), who downed the Storm, 27-25, 12-25, 24-26, 25-16, 25-12, entered the match in a three-way tie for second place with Chemeketa (4-4 NWAC), Clackamas (4-4), which was swept by South leader Linn-Benton (8-0) and Clark (4-3), which had the night off. Hannah Hayes had 13 kills to power Lane's offense and also had five blocks. Taylor Russell handed out 18 assists and Stacia Panther had 19 digs.
