The Lane Community College Women's Basketball team had to play 5 extra minutes to get the
victory over the visiting Riverhawks from Umpqua Community College. The Titans let a 10-
point 4 th quarter lead slipped away as the Riverhawks hit a 3-point shot to tie the game with 5.6
seconds remaining to force overtime. In overtime, the Titans took command and outscored the
Riverhawks by a 16-8 margin to gain the 92-84 victory. Micah Wicks led the Titans in scoring
with 22 points. Emma McDonald contributed 20 points, Lizzy McConkie scored 15 points and
Chloe Daniels chipped in 12 points. Daniels led the Titans in Rebounding with 11.
The Titans are currently 21-2 on the season and 9-2 in Southern Region play. They return to
action on Saturday, February 10th when they host the Panthers of Portland Community College.
Tip-off is set for 2:00 pm.
