The Lane Community College Women's Basketball team won two games over the weekend to
secure the championship of the NWAC Crossover tournament hosted at Lane CC. Lane
defeated Whatcom CC by a score of 105-61 on Friday and then defeated Walla Walla CC 71-70
on Saturday.
In the win versus Whatcom, six Titans scored in double figures led by Lillee Duffin's 17 points.
Lizzy McConkie grabbed a season high 12 rebounds and dished out 6 assists. In their
championship game against Walla Walla, the Titanss led by one point at the half and played
even in the second half to secure the victory. Walla Walla made a two-point basket as time
expired for the final score of the game. Brook Stookey scored 21 points and Emma McDonald
chipped in 19 points to lead the Titans in Scoring.
The Titans are currently 9-0 on the season. They return to action on December 28 th when they
travel to Longview Washington to participate in the Lower Columbia Tournament.
