Titan Women Take Home Pierce College Classic Crown

The Lane Community College Women's Basketball team defeated Pierce College 69-63,
Edmonds College 81-61, and Wenatchee Valley College 101-52 over this past weekend to take
home the Pierce College Classic Championship.
In their second match up of the season, the Titans outlasted the hosts (Pierce College) with a
final victory margin of 6 points. Brook Stookey led the Titans in scoring with 21 points while
Micah Wicks (15) and Chloe Daniels (10) also scored in double figures. Stookey and Daniels led
the Titans in rebounds with 11 while Wicks grabbed 10 rebounds as all three finished the game
with a double-double (scoring/rebounds). Lizzy McConkie chipped in 8 points off the bench in
the Titan victory.
The second day of the tournament found the Titans facing Edmonds College from Lynnwood,
Washington. The Titans went on a scoring frenzy in the second quarter scoring 30 points which
led to a 47-31 halftime lead. Emma McDonald led the scoring as she finished with 32 points for
the game, 27 of which came in the first half of the game. Micah Wicks (21) and Chloe Daniels
(10) also scored in double figures for the game. Chloe Daniels grabbed 18 rebounds and Lillee
Duffiin came of the bench to grab 8 rebounds.
In the final day of the tournament, the Titans cruised to a 49-point victory over Wenatchee
Valley College scoring a total of 101 points in the game. Mya Adams came off the bench to lead
five Titans in double figure scoring with 32 points, including eight made 3-point attempts. Lizzy
McConkie contributed 15 points, Emma McDonald and Chloe Daniels chipped in 12 points each
and Lillee Duffin scored 10 points.
The Titans are currently 5-0 on the season and travel to Yakima to take on the the Yaks on
Friday, December 8 th at 6:00 pm then play Blue Mountain Community College on Saturday,
December 9 th at 2:00 pm.
