Eugene, Ore. – The Titans cruised to a 91-67 victory over Southwestern Oregon (SWOCC) thanks to double-doubles from Kalina Rojas and Kendra McAninch.

Unlike their last game at then No. 2 Clackamas, the Titans got off to a fast start in the first and third quarters with a plus 26 advantage combined in those quarters.

How it happened:

First quarter: The Titans led by 10 points with 6:14 remaining, but SWOCC responded with a 10-0 run to tie the game at the 4:42 mark. The Titans finished on a 11-3 run to end the quarter to regain the lead 23-15.

Second quarter: The Titans extended their lead to 11 with 6:44 remaining, but a 7-0 SWOCC run closed the gap to four. The Titans countered with a 12-5 run to finish the quarter leading by 12.

Third quarter: The Titans played their first complete quarter with their lead reaching 20 points at the 3:47 mark and never dropped below that as the Titans led by 30, 75-45 after three.

Fourth quarter: SWOCC opened the fourth with a 9-2 run to cut the lead to 23 with 6:19 remaining. The Lakers would get as close as 21 points with 3:26 to go, but the Titans went on an 8-2 run to put the game away.

Who stood out: Kalina Rojas led the Titans with 21 points and 10 rebounds. It's her eighth double-double in 9 games and 13th double-double overall. Rojas is sixth in the NWAC in scoring at 18.6 PPG and fourth in rebounding at 12.5 RPG.

Kendra McAninch had 11 points and a career-high 11 assists. McAninch finished the third with seven rebounds but only played two minutes in the fourth so her first triple-double will have to wait.

McAninch has played in only 11 games this season due to injury, but in seven of those games she has had five rebounds and five assists. She is the only player in the NWAC averaging five APG and five RPG.

McAninch leads the NWAC in assists at 6.2 APG. She has also been very efficient passer averaging a 2.4 assists to turnover, second among players with 27 minutes per game.

What it means: The Titans keep pace with Clackamas and Mt. Hood for second place in the Southern Region at 3-1, behind 4-0 Umpqua.

What's next: The Titans (14-3, 3-1) will travel to No. 6 Mt. Hood (11-5, 3-1) on Monday at 2 p.m.
