The Titans got another big game from Mya India Thomas and handled Linn-Benton at home, 99-68.
How it happened: The Roadrunners scored the first three points of the game and led by five after two minutes, 7-2. The Titans responded with a 14-0 run over the next 4:22 to take a nine-point lead, 16-7. A 7-2 Titan run to end the quarter gave them a 23-11 lead.
The Titans shot 43.8 percent from the field but made 7-8 free throws and held Linn-Benton to 23.5 percent shooting and 1-7 from three. Kalina Rojas had seven points and three rebounds; Megan Fossen also had seven points and added two rebounds.
The Titans scored seven of the first nine points in the first 1:44 of the 2nd quarter. Neither team would score for 2:08 in the first half of the quarter. A Mya India Thomas layup with 2:12 remaining in the quarter gave the Titans a 21-point lead, 42-21. They would lead by 20 points after two, 48-28.
The Titans shooting stayed the same this time at 45.5 percent, but they only made 3-5 free throws and 2-7 threes and allowed 40 percent shooting by Linn-Benton. Meagan Briggs had six points and four rebounds; Mya India Thomas had 10 points, four steals and two assists off the bench.
The first five points went to Linn-Benton to start the 3rd quarter, but a 22-0 Titan run to the 2:14 mark sealed the game and gave them a 70-33 lead. The Titans led after 3, 77-39.
The Titans shooting was much more efficient at 57.1 percent and 3-6 from three. Their defense was great as well, holding Linn-Benton to 19 percent shooting. Megan Still had five points, two rebounds and a steal; Kylie Guelsdorf had two points, three assists and two rebounds; Mya India Thomas made another big impact with 12 points, two assists and two rebounds.
The 4th quarter was back-and-fourth from the beginning and the Titans lead was 41, 89-48, at the 5:49 mark. The Roadrunners caught fire from three and finished the game on a 20-11 run, but the Titans took the game, 99-68.
The Titans shooting was great at 58.8 percent, but they allowed 61.1 percent and 5-11 from three. 12 of the 22 points and 30 of the 50 minutes played came from the bench.

Meagan Briggs recorded her second career double-double with 14 point, a career-high 12 rebounds and season-high five assists…Kalina Rojas narrowly missed another double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds in only 21 minutes; she's had nine or more rebounds in nine games and seven of eight…Mya India Thomas led the way in scoring with 27 points, six assists, five steals and two rebounds; this was her third straight 20-point game after not doing so for five games; in non-starts she averages 20.4 ppg in 23.5 mpg, in comparison she averages 15.25 ppg as a starter in 26.06 mpg.
What it means: The Titans remain in 1st place at 12-1 and 24-2 overall. They're 1 game ahead of Umpqua and 1.5 ahead of Mt. Hood.
