The Titans led from the start and dominated their matchup vs Clackamas, 87-66.

How it happened: The Titans scored the first eight points of the game and 15 of the first 17. Clackamas closed the deficit under 10 points with 4:54 remaining, but the Titans responded with a 12-2 run and had a 27-10 lead at the end of the 1^st.  

The Titans held the Cougars to 17.6 percent shooting and shot 52.4 percent. Kalina Rojas had eight points and four rebounds; Kylie Guelsdorf had four points, four assists, a rebound and a steal.

The Titans took a 30 second timeout in the first 90 seconds of the 2^nd quarter after a pair of Cougar threes; they scored the next 12 points after their timeout. The lead was 34 points with 3:36 remaining, but the Cougars closed the half on a 9-0 and trailed, 52-27.

The Titans shot 55 percent and held Clackamas to 26.7 percent. Megan Still had eight points, three rebounds, and two steals; Mya India Thomas had seven points; Megan Fossen had three points, three rebounds, an assists, a steal and a block.

The Titans scored seven of the first nine to begin the 3^rd quarter. Clackamas finished the quarter on a 14-9 run to close the gap to 26 points, 69-43 after three quarters.

Neither team shot the ball well in the quarter; the Titans were at 35 percent and the Cougars 33.3 percent. All 17 of the Titans points came from their starters.

It was a slow start to the 4^th quarter for the Titans, but the game was never in danger despite Clackamas closing within 20 points with 3:39 remaining.

The Titans allowed Clackamas to shoot over 50 percent, 53.8 percent, for the first time in the game and struggled from the field for a second straight quarter; shooting 41.2 percent. Kylie Guelsdorf had six points and three assists; Kalina Rojas had four points and six rebounds.

What/who stood out: 44 rebounds gives the Titans 40 plus rebounds in 14 of 20 games and three of their last four…28 assists is tied for the second most this season; 29 at Clark was the most…20 fouls was the first time committing 20 or more in nine games…nine free throw attempts were the fewest this season…87 points is the fifth time in six games at or above 80.

Kalina Rojas recorded a career-high 13 rebounds and added her second straight career double-double by tying a career-high with 21 points…Kylie Guelsdorf had to settle for her second straight double-double after missing out on her first triple-double; she had 16 points, a career-high 14 assists, eight rebounds and two steals…Mya India Thomas had 17 points; she has scored in double-figures in 17 of 20 games this season and seven straight.

What it means: The Titans stay in 1st place in the south at 7-0 in conference play and an NWAC best 19-1 overall.

What's next: The Titans travel to 2nd place and 4th ranked Umpqua (17-3, 6-1) on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
