The Titans got up by 18 in the 1^st quarter and never looked back in an 83-55 victory over Centralia, their second win against the Blazers this season.

How it happened: The Titans started the game on a 20-2 run. The Blazers would battle back with a few baskets, but a Mya India Thomas jump shot to end the quarter gave the Titans a 25-8 lead.

The Titans shot 55.6 percent from the field and all 25 points came from the starters.

The Blazers shot 21.4 percent from the floor and committed eight turnovers.

The 2^nd quarter was the opposite of the 1^st; the Titans conceded the first five points and saw their lead cut down to as few as 11 points with 7:50 remaining. The Titans would stabilize the lead, and got a Megan Fossen three with 31 seconds remaining, and took a 44-27 lead into half.

Megan Fossen had eight points and four rebounds, but the eight turnovers were the evening factor between the two teams; seven of the turnovers were committed by Mya India Thomas.

The Blazers outshot the Titans 50 to 43.8 percent.

The 3^rd quarter was a mirror of the 1^st; the Titans scored the first 11 points and 23 of 27. The Titans only shot 42.9 percent but held the Blazers to 12.5 percent shooting. The Titans cleaned up their passing, only turning the ball over twice and Mya India Thomas not committing either.

The 4^th quarter continued the trend of the game of the Blazers starting hot, scored seven of first nine. A Kalina Rojas free throw and a Kelly O'Malley three helped spark a 7-0 run and a 76-40 lead with 3:34 remaining. The Titans conceded a few late baskets and lost the quarter 22-16 but got the win.

The Titans shot a game-low 35.7 percent and all 10 Titans saw the floor; with 15 of the 16 points coming from the bench.

What/who stood out: The Titans were plus 34 in the 1^st and 3^rd quarters, but minus six in the 2^nd and 4^th quarters. After curtailing their turnovers in the previous games, the Titans had 17 and 12 of them were in the 2^nd and 4^th. The Titans dominated the glass, being a plus 18. The Titans gave up their fewest free throw attempts of the season, 7.

Megan Still had a game-high 18 points. Kalina Rojas made her second start of the season, the other was the first game of the season, and had 11 points, eight rebounds and three steals. Despite 10 turnovers, Mya India Thomas did a little of everything; scoring six points, dishing five assists, grabbing four rebounds and stealing four balls.

What it means: The number 1 Titans are now 9-1 and have won five straight. The Titans will try to go 3-0 at the Columbia Basin crossover tomorrow.

What's next: The CBC crossover comes to an end for the Titans against the host Hawks tomorrow at 2 p.m. The Titans and Hawks met up at the Pierce Holiday Invite last Sunday and the Titans pulled out a 71-63 victory.
