T&F | Northwest Christian, Lane track shines at Linfield meet

McMINNVILLE — The Northwest Christian women's track and field team took third (73 points) and the Lane men's team (110 points) took second place at the Erik Anderson Memorial Ice Breaker at Linfield College on Saturday.

The Beacons first landed on the podium with the third-place women's 4x100 meter relay of Chariza Wilks, Jordyn Edewards, Abigail Spencer and Sarah Phillips, who finished in 52.09 seconds. The men's 4x100 meter relay team of Jaron Carter, Nicolas Delgado, Cooper Blodgett and Josh McCluskey finished first in 43.16 seconds.

Anika Rasubala took second place in the women's 1,500 (4:58.13) for NCU, and Andrew Mitchell took third in the men's 5000 (16:15.66). The Beacons also took first place in the men's and third place in the women's 4x400 meter relays. Cali Allen finished first in the women's javelin.

Lane's Carter Kunnert finished third in the men's 1500, and teammates Israel Miles, Raymond Blasquez and Noah Dinsfriend went 2-3-4 in the men's 110 hurdles. Dinsfriend also took first in the men's 400 hurdles (57.59).

Cody Le Bel took second for Lane in the men's pole vault, and Natalie Campbell landed in third place for the women's triple jump. Maxwell Moore took third for the Titans in the men's discus throw, Sawyer Christopher finished second in the men's javelin and Christian Garcia took second in the shot put.
