A pair of West Salem High School athletes sign with Titans.
Maddie Bertsch signed with the women's basketball program. She is a 5-11 guard who was named first team Mountain Valley Conference (MVC) as a junior. As a senior Bertsch was named MVC player of the year after averaging 17.1 points per game, 4.8 rebounds per game, 3.4 assists per game and 2.2 steals per game. Her senior performance also resulted in a second team all-state selection.
Lucy Jolivette signed with the women's track and field program. She is ranked second in Oregon in the 100-meters with a personal best time of 11.82 seconds and fourth in the 200-meters with a personal best time of 24.70 seconds in 2019. She finished fourth in the 100-meter final, third in the 200-meter final, first in the 4x100-meter relay final and sixth in the 4x400-meter relay final at the 2019 OSAA 6A Championships.
