Eugene, Ore. – The short-handed Titans scored 94 but allowed 102 to Chemeketa in their fifth consecutive loss.

How it happened:

First half: Ty Horner got off to a fast start for the Titans, scoring 10 of the first 12 points in a 12 all game at the 13:57 mark of the half. From the 11:12 mark to the 9:40 the Storm went on a 7-0 run to take the lead.

Ty Horner made a tip-in with 7:07 remaining to bring the Titans back to a one possession deficit. Again, Horner kept the Titans attached with a layup to make it a 32-29 deficit with 4:51 remaining. Isaac Lange made a three with three seconds remaining in the half. That three from Lange was a part of 16 straight points scored by him and Horner to end the quarter and brought the Titans to within one after being down seven when their run started.

The Titans scored 41 points and 34 of them came from Horner and Lange who had 22 and 12 respectively and shot 14-28 from the field while the rest of the Titans had seven points on 3-12 shooting.

Second half: The second half was more of the same from Horner and Lange, scoring 11 of the Titans first 13 points. Dominic McGarvey tied the game at 56 with 13:19 remaining with two made free throws. 20 seconds later another Horner basket gave the Titans the lead for the first time since it was 8-7 with 15:55 remaining in the first half.

The Storm responded with a quick 6-0 to take the 62-58 lead with 7:34 gone in the half. Five points from Jake Willemsen and Dylan Reichenberger regained the lead for the Titans at the 11:38 mark, 63-62. The game would tie at 65 and 67. Then Jesse Hubbe scored 12 of the next 13 Titan points from the 9:01 mark to the 7:09 mark, but the Titans were only able to reduce their deficit from five to two.

The Storm extended their lead again, this time to nine with a 10-3 run to the 4:14 mark. A Horner jump shot and Hubbe three made it a four-point deficit with 3:25 remaining, but that would be the closest the Titans got the rest of the game.
