Austin started his baseball career at Monroe High School in Monroe, Oregon. He was a Four-year letter winner at Monroe High School… two-time team captain, Rookie of the Year, and three-time team MVP… three-time First Team All-League pitcher, three-time First Team All-State pitcher, 2014 and 2015 Conference Player of the Year along with the 2015 2A OSAA Player of the State... he also lettered in basketball, earning Second Team All-League accolades.

2016 (Freshman/Lane CC)
Started on the mound in all 10 of his appearances… 6-1 record with a 2.61 ERA… struck out 45, walked 21 in 44.2 innings. 2017 (Sophomore/Lane CC)
Second Team All-League pitcher… pitched in 14 games, making 11 starts… compiled 6-2 record with 2.11 ERA… struck out 77, walked just 26 in 72.1 innings of work… In Austin’s career as a Titan he Compiled a 12-3 W/L Record with a 2.31 ERA, striking out 122 hitters in 117 innings and walking 47.

He was then drafted by the New York Yankees in the 26th round of the 2017 MLB June Amateur Draft, taken with the 782nd overall pick.

After transferring to Nevada for 2018, Crowson decided to leave and spent his junior season at Western Oregon.

2019 (Junior)
First Team All-GNAC... GNAC and NCBWA Pitcher of the Week after throwing a no-hitter April 25 at Concordia... Crowson struck out nine and walked four in the seven-inning no-hitter, the fifth in the history of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference and the first for a WOU pitcher since 2010... threw two complete game shutouts... struck out six or more in four appearances... finished the season with 46 strikeouts in 39.1 innings.

Austin was selected by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 39th round (1170th overall). After his junior year at Western Oregon University.

In 22 ⅓ innings over 13 games with the Phillies rookie-level affiliate in the Gulf Coast League, Crowson went 5-1 with a 2.82 earned-run average. He got victories in his last two games and didn’t allow an earned run in his final four outings.
