Baseball | Dallas and Shimizu on ABCA/Rawlings 2nd team

Eugene, Ore. - Pitcher, catcher and short stop Matt Dallas was named to the 2019 ABCA/Rawlings Pacific Association Div. All-Region second team as a utility player. Dallas hit .333 with seven etra-base hits, 24 RBI's and scored 23 runs in 42 games and 120 at-bats. As a pitcher, Dallas went 6-3 with a save, 2.19 ERA, 52 strikeouts and two complete games (one shutout). Behind the plate Dallas threw out 33.3 percent of attempted runners and was a part of 10 double-plays.

Takanori Shimizu was also named to the second team as a first baseman. Shimizu hit a team best .347 with a .404 on-base percentage, two home runs, eight extra-base hits, 21 RBI's and 23 runs scored. Shimizu was named an NWAC gold glove winner after being a part of 13 double plays (15 overall). 

Both players were freshman in 2019 and are expected to lead the Titans offensivly and on the mound in 2020.
