Titans score first two and last two runs of the game in 4-2 win in game two at SWOCC.
How it happened: The Titans again used an early run to take the lead in the first after Jaxon Woodhouse continued his hot hitting with an RBI-single, scoring Skyler Vail.
Matthew Aguilar plated Jack Swisher in the 2nd with an RBI-double to make it 2-0.
SWOCC responded to tie the game at two with an RBI-double and RBI-single in the 3rd inning.
After two scoreless innings, the Titans reclaimed the lead with an RBI-triple from Hayden Curtis, scoring Matt Dallas, in the 6th.
In the seventh the Titans got an extra insurance run with from Curran Mitzel on a wild pitch to make it 4-2.
What/who stood out: Two triples makes the first back-to-back games with multiple triples…four XBH's is now nine straight games with XBH and 13-of-14…two runs allowed over the two road games is the second fewest to one allowed at Clackamas…17 pitching strikeouts over the two games is the second most in a two game period behind 20 at Chemeketa…one error makes five-of-six.
Matt Dallas went from the mound to behind the plate and finished 2-of-3 with a double and run scored…Hayden Curtis hit his second triple of the season and drove in a run…Matthew Aguilar hit his first double of the season…Curran Mitzel hit his second triple and scored a run…Charlie Patterson started and went five innings and allowed six hits, two runs, zero walks and six strikeouts…Trenton Hough finished the game with two shutout innings with only one hit and three strikeouts for his first collegiate save.
What it means: The Titans are now 20-10 overall and 12-10 in conference. They are in third place, one game ahead of Chemeketa (no more remaining games and Titans hold the season series tie-breaker); two and a half games ahead of fifth place Clark (9-12) who plays one more game tonight and two tomorrow, but the Titans hold the tie break from the Southern Region lottery system, so the Titan will finish third regrless of their final two games results.
