Lane drops two at Bellevue

BELLEVUE, Wash. — The Lane baseball team fell in both games of a doubleheader with Bellevue on Friday, losing 2-0 and 8-2.

In the first game, Lane couldn't score despite Hayden Curtis going 3-for-4 at the plate, including a double. Bellevue pitcher Nick Miller (2-1) got the win, with seven strikeouts over seven scoreless innings. Mitchell Bell (0-2) took the loss, despite only giving up one earned run over five innings.

In the second game, Lane fell behind 6-0 after two innings before scoring their first runs in the third and fourth innings. But Bellevue relief pitcher Ian Haigh pitched three scoreless innings, while striking out six. Eric Anderson got the win.
